Link Tank: Celebrating 20 Years of Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone
The original Harry Potter movie came out 20 years ago today, Hailee Steinfeld talks about Hawkeye, Forza Horizon 5 has amazing graphics, and more in Link Tank!
It’s been 20 years since the premiere of Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone, and the legacy of the Wizarding World adaptation can still be felt today.
“Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone was originally published in 1997. Although the book series made a splash upon its release, it wasn’t until the film came out in 2001 that Harry Potter really began its ascent into the mainstream pop culture stratosphere. Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, unknown children at the time of the premiere of Chris Columbus’s film, quickly became household names. Author J.K. Rowling herself—and her rags to riches legend—was elevated to a sort of godlike figure by Harry Potter-loving diehards.”
Forza Horizon 5 is on the… horizon, and it leaves its predecessor’s graphics in the dust with incredible and gorgeous views.
“Parachuting on the steep slopes of Grand Caldera volcano would be treacherous for an experienced climber, let alone someone trying to navigate a car at over 75 mph. Steam rises from the remaining pool of magma on an otherwise snow-covered mountain. When you experience it in the driver’s seat while playing Forza Horizon 5, it’s hard to ignore the urge to stop and stare at the gorgeous views.”
Hawkeye star Hailee Steinfeld talks about bringing the fan-favorite archer Kate Bishop to life for the new Disney+ series.
“Hailee Steinfeld is a busy woman. Gearing up for the final season of Dickinson is just the first on her to-do list for November because she’s also preparing to debut as Kate Bishop in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the Disney+ series Hawkeye. And fans are incredibly excited to see Kate take to the live-action world!”

Thor: Ragnorak and Jojo Rabbit director Taika Waititi has found his next directorial comic book adaptation in The Incal.
“As if coming off of Thor: Love and Thunder, a Star Wars movie, showing up in Free Guy, trying to get a Flash Gordon reboot off the ground, and about a zillion other things weren’t enough, Taika Waititi has now attached himself to an adaptation of Alejandro Jodorowsky and Jean Giraud’s (aka Moebius) sumptuous ‘80s space opera The Incal.”
Sesame Street has inspired audiences for over 50 years, but let’s get a behind-the-scenes look at the people who control our favorite puppets.
“For more than 50 years, Sesame Street has been imparting valuable moral, ethical, and social lessons to young audiences using a sprawling cast of puppets. The Sesame characters—Big Bird, Elmo, Oscar the Grouch, Cookie Monster, Bert and Ernie, the Count, and others—have become instantly recognizable to generations of viewers. But behind every memorable character is a human performer, one tasked with juggling the technical demands of puppet operation without losing the humor and heart that makes their furry counterpart so memorable.”
