Indiana Jones 5 Shoots This Summer Says Harrison Ford
Indiana Jones sequel is confirmed by the title character himself, Harrison Ford and shooting starts this summer.
Archaeology professor Dr. Henry Walton “Indiana” Jones, Jr., will make one last dig into history. Academy Award-nominated actor Harrison Ford revealed Indiana Jones 5 will start production in two months, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
While promoting his upcoming film, Call of the Wild on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ford told host Ellen DeGeneres that filming on the Indiana Jones sequel will begin late this summer. “It’s going to be fun,” Ford said. “They are great fun to make.” The interview airs today.

Steven Spielberg will direct the Indiana Jones sequel from a script by Solo: A Star Wars Story writer Jonathan Kasdan. The film will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Frank Marshall. Ford will return as the classic character he created.
Ford has created iconic characters. From Rick Deckard in Blade Runner to Han Solo in the Star Wars franchise. “I’m always delighted to come back to these characters,” Ford told correspondent Lee Cowan in an interview with CBS Sunday Morning. “You know, when we have the opportunity to make another it’s because people have enjoyed them. I feel obliged to make sure that our efforts are as ambitious as they were when we started. You have a sense of responsibility to your customers.”
The 77-year old actor added that he thinks “of the people that go to my movies more as customers than I do as fans. Fans feels kind of weird to me, but always has. But the fact that these people support my business and I’m responsible to them for the quality of the service that I offer, that feels better to me.”

The Indiana Jones franchise changed action cinema. Directed by Steven Spielberg from a story by George Lucas, it is tribute to the adventure serials of the 1930s and 1940s. The adventures began in 1981 with Raiders of the Lost Ark, one of AFI’s 100 Greatest American Films of All Time. It was followed by the prequel, Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Doom. Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade was released in 1989. The three films are considered some of the greatest adventure movies ever made. But the fourth film, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, released in 2008, disappointed fans but still grossing more than $786 million worldwide to stand as the most successful entry to the franchise. The four films earned nearly $2 billion at the global box office.
