Doctor Who: The End Of Time trailer

If you’ve not seen The Waters Of Mars, this is one trailer you might not want to watch…

"My name is The Master."

How can those five words give us geekbumps the size of Alps (proverbially speaking, of course. It'd be a bit freaky otherwise)? Because just as we were sitting there reeling from the hour of Waters Of Mars that had preceded it, the Doctor Who team then threw the first broadcast trailer for the Christmas episode The End Of Time at us.

If you thought The Waters Of Mars took the Doctor to very dark places, then the two-parter finale to the David Tennant train potentially makes it look all upbeat and happy.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Davies might be gearing up towards a Christmas Carol pastiche with elements of the Doctor's past returning in a sequence of dreams/nightmares? There's almost a PhD thesis in the use of that particular narrative in television fantasy series - Doctor Who (kind of) tried it before in Trial of a Timelord - maybe this is the chance to redress the balance?

So the big Hollywood star doing the voice-over? Sounds like Brian Cox.

I thought the waters of mars was really good, interesting and very scary I thought the trailer for the end of time at the end was interesting as well. Donna brings the master back by picking up the ring!!!! WATER ALWAYS WINS!(well it didnt this time, losers)

Wrong, it's definitely Brian Cox. Bet on it.

Sounds like Cox. Definitely. The other one sure sounded like Dalton though.

Definitely Dalton. They wouldn't have a voiceover that's not in the programme itself.

And how do you know Cox isn't IN the show? Cos of all the loads of info they have dished out about the plot? The Comic-Con clip had Dalton. This one is Brian Cox. Nailed on, hands down.

I've got a feeling that Timothy Dalton will either be playing Rassilon or Omega. I do get this feeling that the Tenth Doctor may be on trial for his actions, and Mr. Dalton could be his judge, jury and executioner in The End of Time. Whatever happens, I'm looking foward to it. Bring it on!.

I hope the Doctor finds some alien item we've never heard of before in 'End of Time' and says "So that's it!" in a gawping, pleased-as-punch open-mouthed moment of realisation, before delivering a convoluted explanation about said item.

Timothy Dalton most certainly in WHO special, but that is without a doubt the voice of Brian Cox. He has filmed the new Day of the Triffids remake for BBC so I would not rule out a fantastic appearance!

Humblest apologies, that is of course Cox. I pictured him in my head and said to myself Dalton, must lay off the mind-altering substances!Wouldn't it be great if Cox made an appearance, he is simply class.
