Torchwood series three: major rumours
Den of Geek
Potentially big spoilers for Torchwood, as rumours emerge about the direction the show could be heading for series three...
Published on Mar 7, 2008
Here are the main rumours that are floating around. In the words of a BBC news reader, look away now if you don’t want to know the score:
* Freema Agyeman as Martha Jones will be joining the series full time
* Burn Gorman will be leaving the show, taking his character Owen Harper with him
* Also going appears to be Toshiko
* And the biggest one of them all: it seems that John Barrowman may be leaving Torchwood, as it seems that Captain Jack Harkness is not lined up for inclusion in series three either
The rumour then says that Barrowman could move into doing the occasional appearance on the show.
And yet there’s more. Some are stating that the episode count for series three will be substantially lower, and that the show may be toned down a little bit to try and attract more of a pre-watershed audience.
None of this, of course, has been confirmed. But feel free to head down to the comments box to leave your thoughts. It certainly leaves the world of Torchwood in a state of flux…

I'm sure there'll still be plenty of tosh, just no Toshiko. BOOM! BOOM!.
Ahem - I'll be sorry if these changes are actually made, especially as Torchwood has been at least 23 times better this series than last. Owen and Tosh are my favourite characters too... Pity it can't be Gwen who gets the boot.

I think Tosh is a geek fav because she is a hot geek female (not enough of those on this planet)
but i pray these rumors are just that...
better to kill a good series and leave us with memories
than to destroy evrything that makes it unique and enjoyable

SPOILER FOR THE LAST EPISODE IN SEASON 2 BELOW!
The rumors about Tosh and Owen seem to be true since they both die in s02e13, and I've read other rumors that Jack is, sadly, leaving too. But he will visit every now and then, as it says here.
It says here that the episode count will be lower, which seems to be true, down to 5 I've heard =(
SPOILER FOR THE LAST EPISODE IN SEASON 2 ABOVE!

ok some of those quotes are bullshit. my dad knows the producer and john barrowman is NOT leaving i repeat NOT leaving. Im not sure if there is only going to be 5 episodes but im sure that it will still be aimed at people preferably over the age of 12 or 13. They are starting filming in october this year and it will aire depending on different things, but it is most likely that it will aire.

videous i completely agree with u!!!! Jack better not be going!! Hes the best part of the show, hes the reason why it has come so far in my opinion so they can't get rid of him! they might as well just get rid of the show if they r gettin rid of him! I sure hope your right take-two!
