Batman vs The Dark Knight - why so similar?

Oh, what a tangled web we weave, when first we try to reboot a franchise for no apparent reason using lots of the same story elements the original films used
The Dark Knight is mere weeks away now, but if you're really impatient, you could always just rewatch Tim Burton's Batman.
What am I on about? Well, watch this YouTube comparison of the trailer for The Dark Knight with footage from the 1989 Batman, and you'll see:

Re: Batman vs The Dark Knight - why so similar?Yeah but, it was made by someone. It's not like it's the actual trailer. How hard is it to make something look like something else when it has the same cast of characters? Shoot, why didn't they go into Forever and add some Harvey Dent??? It's silly.
I remember that trailer too. Went to see Major League just to see it (luckily I worked at the theater and didn't have to pay for ML). |
