Two posters for Day The Earth Stood Still remake

Get ready for Fox's big Christmas hope - and the early posters certainly look promising...
Among Harry Potter and Quantum of Solace this Christmas is a film that ordinarily you'd pitch in the middle of summer. However, Fox's remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still is set to be with us in Decemeber, and will hope - like I Am Legend last Christmas - to prove that sci-fi and the festive season are a good mix.
