Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull news
Simon Brew
So it's finished filming, the poster's out and the countdown to next May is on. Will Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull deliver?
Published on Dec 14, 2007
But heck, did one poster get us excited. Indiana Jones & The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which is out next May, has wrapped filming and the PR assault is beginning in earnest. Starting with that poster.
Also, the first plot points are beginning to leak out, and the news here is positive. They’ve moved the story on nineteen years, so we don’t have old Harrison Ford pretending to be young Harrison Ford, and it’s also moving the setting to the Cold War. Granted, we enjoyed Indy battering the Nazis, but this is surely the only logical way to address the gap between movies.
We also now know that Cate Blanchett is the Russian villainess, and that Ray Winstone is a rival archaeologist. The rest will become clear, no doubt, in the months ahead.
The film’s out on May 22nd.

Since I found out that this is set in the fifties, therefore catching up with the real age of Harrison Ford, I am looking forward to it a lot more.

It could potentially be great.. with the Crystal Skull ideas and all .. however i have reservations about Ray Winstone who is great as a gangster but as a Archeologist..hmmmm ' Get away from that Skull..you SLLLLAAAGGGG!!....yeah whose the daddy..hmmm'

If I can buy Han Solo as an archaeologist, then I have no problems buying Ray Winstone as an archaeologist.

I think the great Winstone has well and truly shaken off his stereotypes by now. I just hope it's a working-class English archaeologist he is playing, as his accents are not so hot.
