Right now, Christopher Nolan's Inception is a project more covered in secrecy than James Cameron's Avatar was roughly around this time last week. But whereas the reveal of the first trailer for Avatar has been met with a mixed response online, Christopher Nolan seems to have played things a little safer with the teaser to next summer's Inception.

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio, the film is a massively expensive science-fiction thriller (Warner Bros is footing a bill of around $200m for the film, which is more than it spent on The Dark Knight!), and by the looks of this teaser at least, it's a flick that's tipping its hat in the direction of The Matrix too. There's no dialogue, some thumping music, and slanted camerawork, and it still doesn't leave you a great deal wiser as to what's what. But then, to be fair, it is only a teaser.
