Name that film from just four words of dialogue

Simon Brew

Our toughest movie quote quiz just got a whole lot tougher – now you get just four words of dialogue from which to guess the film…!

Published on Jan 21, 2009

A few days ago, we set you what we thought was a really quite tough quiz, where we asked you to get the movie from just five words of dialogue. Sadly for us, but all the better for you, it didn’t take long for the quiz to be beaten (and hopefully without the aid of Google!). So we’ve upped the ante a little now, and cut the numbers of words you get per quote to four.

Again, we’ve not picked obscure films, with even the older titles films you’re likely to have heard of. But we think this is quite hard, even if we’ve thrown some easy ones in there.

Good luck!

1. "And call off Christmas!"

2. "He's totally a robot"

3. "You can shovel it"

4. "My suitcase was vibrating"

5. "I make everybody sick"

6, "Beware Romulans bearing gifts"

7. "I am Albert Potato"

8. “Making the rain chubby”

9. “Have you tried staples?”

10. “Consider that a divorce”

11. “The three sea shells”

12. “I’ll be Johnny 24”

13. “Only in a rerun”

14. “There is no spoon”

15. “Get off my plane”

16. “All made in Taiwan!”

17. “By gum it’s gum!”

18. “Fiery the angels fell”

19 “Scruffy looking nerf herder”

20. “Fly yes. Land no”

Good luck - and we're working on the next quiz, which will give you just three words to go on...

Respect for the Top Secret quote- I've been quoting that line for about 20 years now. Actually found this easier than the 5 word quiz. Roll on the one word quiz! "Adriiian!"

20. Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom? (Not "Last Crusade")

#17, I think, might be Charlie and Chocolate Factory, rather than Willa Wonka. #20 is definitely the Last Crusade.
