Would you visit the Batman Dental Surgery?
Sarah Dobbs
Publicity for The Dark Knight is about to reach fever pitch - but would you really trust the Caped Crusader to give you a root canal?
This morning, I got an excited e-mail from a friend talking about a discovery he'd made in White City, London this weekend. In his words:
I walked past a dentists in White City on Saturday morning.
But wait! There's more!
It was called 'Batman Dental Surgery'. And, inexplicably, it's address was 'Batman Dental Surgery, South Africa' despite quite clearly being an NHS sign in west London!
Maybe it's promotional work before next week. Joker? smiling? Dentist? That works.
There was absolutely no way I could let this go uninvestigated. A quick Google search for "Batman Dental Surgery" turned up the practice in question - it's quite real! It's located at 1 Batman Close (possibly the best address in the whole world) which is just off South Africa Road, and apparently nervous patients are welcome.
I don't think I have the words to quite express the awesome here. Have some pictures I dug up, instead:
