Obsessive site Of The Day: Street art
Gaye Birch
Whatever small aspect of movies or life you can think of, there's a whole website somewhere obsessing about it....
Published on Feb 25, 2009
We'll finish out a week of art and images pointing you to a site with a more extensive collection of the street artist Banksy's work than on the artist's own site as well as news, a map of art locations and collections of "street galleries" beyond London and the UK.
Be sure to also check out the other artists who've helped evolve graffiti beyond its hit-and-run tagging origins, although there's examples of that too (text) and spray can, stencil, paste up, sticker plantings and sightings of a range of guerilla art, all in a nice black-and-white, tabled gallery.
