The fourth GTA is demolishing sales records right now - but it may be around for a good while yet...

The Grand Theft Auto 4 juggernaut, that has seen it take in many hundreds of millions of dollars already this week alone, could well be motoring for many, many weeks to come if the latest reports are set to be believed.
Thanks to its April launch window, the game has a pretty clear run at the top of the games charts for the forthcoming weeks (which it wouldn't have had if it had stuck to its original winter slot), and this had led to speculation that it will be dominating the top slot of the charts perhaps right through to the summer.
You can see how that could be the case, too. The next big blockbusters on the horizon are the UK release of Rock Band (which will be dampened by the ridiculous price that’s been asked for it), UbiSoft’s Haze, the Lego Indiana Jones game and then the next real biggie, Metal Gear Solid 4 on June 12th.
Our prediction is that Grand Theft Auto 4 will not be surrendering the top of the charts until then at the very earliest, but given the fact that MGS4 is PS3-exclusive, even that might not be enough to shift the might of Rockstar’s blockbuster.
