Autumn's Big DVD Release Dates

Simon Brew

The shows and movies heading our way over the coming months, Including release dates. And Heroes is being split over two boxsets...!

Published on Jun 15, 2007

Here’s what we know from our top secret sources. Don’t blame us if the dates change, though. Note that these are UK-only dates - we may do a region one round-up shortly if you all find this useful...

September 3:
Battlestar Galactica Season 3
Doctor Who: The Time Warrior
Babylon 5: Lost Tales
Supernatural: Season 2 Part 2
CSI: Season 7 Part 1
Happy Days: Season 1
The Punisher: Extended Cut (2004 edition)
Space 1999 Series 2
Made In Britain (and a Shane Meadows boxset)
Resident Evil: Apocalypse Special Edition
John Candy Collection
Steve Martin Collection
Van Damme Boxset

September 17:
300

September 24:
Doctor Who: The Key To Time boxset
Life On Mars Complete Boxset
Incredible Hulk Complete Series 2
Xena: Warrior Princess Series 5
Xena: Warrior Princess Series 6
Deliverance: 35th Anniversary Edition
The Office: An American Workplace Season 2
The Prisoner

October 1:
Heroes Season 1 Part 1

October 15:
CSI NY Season 3 Part 2
CSI Miami Season 4 Part 2
CSI Miami Complete Season 3
CSI Miami Complete Season 4
Most Haunted Season 8
Most Haunted Season 9

5 November:
Jungle Book 40th Anniversary Edition
24 Season 6
Shameless Season 4
Peep Show Season 4
That Mitchell & Webb Look

December 31:
Heroes Season 1 Part 2

Great to see that trend for stiffing British customers by splitting series over multiple boxsets is continuing with Heroes. Don’t worry, though: you can import the US region 1 set all in one go at the end of August.

Good too to see some more Classic Who on there, even if the Key To Time was fairly tiresome first time round...

Would be nice if Space:1999 was released in an affordable edition (both series).

They actually do that here quite a bit, until they realized it would be more cost-effective to release it all in one overpriced box, rather than less-overpriced individual DVDs. Most things are still released piecemeal, unfortunately.

Heroes Heroes. Import the whole series from the US in August. Or buy it in two staggered-release boxsets in the UK. That's a tricky one...
